geology

There is a place for her here.

It is a not a carved-out,
barren, abandoned void
left by others;

those caverns have spent
years crumbling into themselves,
changing, filling, healing.

This place is new

it opened when she
fell into my world,
warm, inviting,
and in her shape–
a place fit
for no one else.

The natural course of
earthquake, eruption, erosion
takes places in
more than just the landscape.
